Admissions

Admissions to St. Saviour’s School is based upon the criteria that the Governors set each year.  This emphasises their wish to provide places for children whose family has a commitment to regular worship. Our Admissions Criteria for Nursery, Reception and all years can be downloaded from this website or collected from the school office.

Places are restricted to 30 per class and there are 8 classes in the school. The maximum admission number is 240.

Admission to the Nursery

Most parents apply for their children to be admitted into the Nursery class. There is one point of entry to this class in September. Places are offered strictly according to the published admissions criteria.

The school anticipates that all children will be full time. All 3 and 4 year old children are eligible for 15 hours of free childcare. Some children are eligible for 30 hours of free childcare: Find out if you are eligible here: 30 hours free childcare - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Free Nursery provision is part-time only (8:55 am to 12:15pm). If you are not eligible for 30 hours free childcare, please contact the Office for information about top up fees.

There is not an automatic right to a place in the Reception class.  This is in common with all other schools in England and Wales.

If you would like to register your child for the Nursery, please complete an Application Form and return to the School Office.

The Governors’ Admissions Committee meet and offer places in strict accordance with the School’s published criteria.

Admission to Reception

To apply for a Reception place, you have to complete the Common Application Form (CAF) from your home Local Authority which can be found on their website.  Most Local Authorities use the eAdmissions website: Home | eAdmissions. You must name St. Saviour's School as one of your six preferred schools.

If you are applying for a place under a Religious Criterion, you will need to complete a St Saviour’s Supplementary Information Form (SIF) and submit this and the relevant documents needed. If you would like an Application Form please contact the school office, either in person, by telephone or email. This will be sent to you in good time before the closing date.

Places for Reception are offered strictly according to the School’s published admissions criteria.
